Imagine Darkness. I mean really imagine the darkest part of your inner soul when you’re having a bad day,and its dark outside.
Thats how dark this is stuff is.
But dont get me wrong, after the first few gulps this stuff really is quite nice and smooth. As per the website:
Satanic Mills uses richly-roasted ‘chocolate’ malt, the finest English hops and our very own natural mineral water. The result is a seductively dark ale with coffee and blackberry aromas, a finely balanced depth of flavour, a surprisingly smooth palate and a nostalgically smokey finish.
Worth drinking chilled!

Last week we went on a small tour around East Devon, ending up in Budleigh Salterton. It may appear to be a quiet sea side town, but at least it has a decent cheap Threshers. What I was impressed with was the 3 bottles of local beer for 6 quid. We brought three bottles of Otter Beer:
I have to admit. I am confused. This is a nice beer – its a good drink, and refreshing, like Otter Bright mentioned above, while having a stronger malty tast. Making it more of a beer that lager lovers may turn down.
If like me, you’ve tried a wheat beer before and thought it tasted a little bitter, forget it. This is actually quite nice. A sweet almost fruity taste that is refreshing, yet somehow is heavy with (obviously) wheat.
