Well it could be one of a few things;
A very hoppy beer from the hills of Glastonbury
A hippy
A band from Glastonbury

Wondered down to Darts Farm near Topsham today and picked up a few harder – to – get beers. One of them was the fantastic Beautiful daze from the Otter Brewery. Named after The Beautiful Days festival, it has a clean fresh taste, that would be perfect for Summer…if it was still Summer. Never mind I’ve got plans for buying up a few of these next year to enjoy during a hot summers days in our car park.
I must be going mad!!!!
I’m sure this beer has a hint of green to it???
Is it just me, or has anyone seen it?
By the way if you get the chance – try it. Its beautiful.
Stella Artois launch weaker beer in battle against binge-drinking reputation

So Stella have released a new beer, in what has to be an attempt to rebrand its image. To start with, its now weaker – maybe trying to move past the “wife beater” image, and its this that grabbed the attention of many newspapers suc
h as The Mail. Maybe its more to do with taste and price?
They are obviously trying to rebrand themselves to move away from the “premium lagar’ brand – which lets face it, is quite pricey. In this current climate of no one having any money, brewery’s need to find new ways of getting our cash, a new lower priced brand most be the obvious way to go. At 3 quid (for a four pack) it was the cheapest I could see at Sainsburys, but if it remains at this price remains to be seen.
Most important question, does it taste any good? Well I reckon it tastes better then normal Stella, but some people would say thats not hard. To be honest it tastes like a bog standard beer – it tastes good but is nothing special.
Well over the last weekend I found myself with Dan in a random Scottish pub in Inverness. It was there when I really came across Scottish Beers on Tap for the first time. I had the choice of a pint of Deuchars IPA or Belhaven Best.
I put my trust in Dan, and ordered the IPA. He apologised very soon after. It had a hint of taste to it, but that was about it. There have been plenty of times before that I’ve not finished a pint. Normally because I’ve already had a few amount of beers already. This was the first time for a long time I’ve left one due to it tasting like bad pants.
I moved onto a half of Belhaven Best. It was only a half due to warnings from Dan who had tried this stuff before. To be honest it was better. Probably the best comparison is its like a bitter pint of Worthingtons, but to be honest I’m glad it was only a half – I wouldn’t like a whole pint of this stuff at all.
So in answer to Deuchars or Belhaven Best? I would get something else to be be honest. Either a more trusted beer or just something totally different – like wine???
